Hardcore bowhunters are always looking for a hunt that is going to please and challenge them. One of the best games to hunt for this type of experience is the turkey. However, it isn't easy, especially with a bow and arrow. Here are a few tips that will improve your odds while you're out to get those wise gobblers:
Lighter Is Better
You need to be able to obtain the ideal shot angle when it comes to hunting turkeys. Otherwise, your hunt won't be successful. You will likely be at point-blank range. All of this means one thing: you may need to hold your bow at full draw for a minute or so in order to get the perfect shot. For that reason, you want a lighter bow. It's going to be easier to hold 10 pounds rater than 50 pounds. Your heavy duty bow should be kept locked away when you're turkey bowhunting.
Stay Sharp

Hide and Seek

Choose a place where the sun won't shine and you'll have plenty of straight clearance for shooting. Whether you're in a blind or out of a blind, you need to be in dark clothing – either black or dark camo, but never fluorescent.
